Understanding PV module performance, quality and reliability

PV ModuleTech 2021

PV ModuleTech will return to Penang, Malaysia on 10-11 March 2021 (there is no PV ModuleTech2020 conference due to COVID-19). The conference will directly follow PV CellTech (8-9 March 2021) with both events taking place at The Hotel Equatorial and available as regular conferences as well as offering “virtual attendance” for delegates unable to attend in person. Once again the agenda sessions and topics will focus on the key global issues today in terms of module technology, quality, and reliability – specific to large-scale module purchasing decisions over the next 12-18 months.

Module technology offerings are changing at a rapid pace, with half-cut cells, shingled arrangements, PERC and bifacial types now appearing on reliability and bankability listings for site investors. Higher-efficiency and power ratings are also appearing as new n-type variants are being pitched at developers and EPCs. Finally, new materials used in module assembly – both on the front and rear side of modules – are coming to the market, lowering assembly costs, adding reliability, and assisting during site construction.

In addition to hearing from the leading global companies spanning the module value-chain (from production to supply, across materials and technology, inclusive of testing, inspection and quality auditing), PV ModuleTech 2021 will also feature an invaluable update from the PV-Tech market research team on their ongoing supplier rating analysis that will assist any module buyers/users to fully understand the supply landscape on offer going forwards.
